MEET THE BAND

Jossie discovered her love for music at a young age. As early as the age of 4 her family remembers her singing "Love Can Build A Bridge" by The Judds. As she matured she always participated in her school choir but never wanted any spotlight. During her senior year of high school, Jossie was challenged to perform alone, which she now recognizes as a turning point in her career. Her solo performance was overwhelmingly accepted by her fellow classsmates which gave Jossie the confidence she needed to pursue a career in the music industry. In 2014, an opportunity arose for Jossie to join a well know local artist, Shane Dawson, in his band. This opportunity placed Jossie front and center in the music scene, even opening for Chase Bryant, Canaan Smith, Chris Lane, and Brothers Osborne. She also had the opportunity to play at the Kentucky Derby Festivals ‘Chow Wagon’ and the Kentucky State Fair. Jossie is very optimistic for the future of Moonshine Magnolia as they have already secured some major gigs around the Louisville area.
"I think this band can do some great things. Once we get some of our original tunes out, the sky is the limit!"- Jossie Lauren

If you ever need a gospel song played at a country gig with a rocked up beat, look no further. Jeremy Roarx has played them all. Starting at age 5, Jeremy had a pair of sticks in his hand sitting behind the
drums at a church in the hollers of Kentucky. He grew up playing with the church choir for several years, entering and winning several competitions for drums and percussion in the process. He has played in various rock and country bands throughout his twenty five plus years and has opened for several notable acts throughout the region including a once famous local rock band, Flaw, at the age of 15. Playing drums has allowed Jeremy to participate in various charitable events such as the Cabo Wabo Coat Drive and a fund raiser for The Velcro Pygmies, who lost their bass player in early 2016. Nothing makes Jeremy happier than playing music and with Moonshine Magnolia, he’ll get to do just that.

Some of the more notable musicians throughout several generations started playing music at a young
age, and Britton Mitchell is no exception to that fact. He started playing guitar at the age of thirteen and that’s all he’s wanted to do since. His father starting playing right before he did and introduced him to the instrument. Britton has played several different genres, from metal to honky tonk and from college bars to
Disney world. He met Jossie at work who invited him to play with her and the boys. Britton says
“he’s looking forward to making music with MM as often as he can.”
